Just a question for you all. Wonder what you all think a person should get out of a shell 1964 Fairlane, its been painted and has a fiberglass Thunderbolt hood on it, that has a roll cage put in, drummed out for rears, 9" rear end, fuel cell and a rechromed front bumper and grill. It has a rear bumper but needs rechroming. The wheels are on it are Welds with 10" on the rear and 6" on the front. No motor in it but has a 460 waiting to be rebuilt etc. Thoughts on how much its worth? or should ask. The guy passed away and the family and I have no real clue. Thanks in advance
Totally depends on the quality of the workmanship. Very hard to even get close without seeing either it in person, or a bunch of pix...
Having built two '64 Thunderbolt clones, one small-block resto-mod, & one accurate replica, I can tell you that if it is not a complete car (meaning glass, mouldings, interior, etc.) it will be very expensive to complete, which will affect the selling price. Is it a sedan or hardtop? (all Thunderbolts were sedans) Have the shock tower, radiator support, and other necessary mods been done? What color is it, and what is the quality of the body & paint work? How solid was the car? Has it had extensive rust repairs? If you want to PM me or call, I can post a link about it on the Fairlane Club private forum.
I will try and take some pics on the car and pass on and or post. Crazy situation to say the least. Thanks again all.
