I want to know if there is enough clearance betweeen the frame to remove the oil pan without raising the engine for the 250, 6 cylinder, 1970 Maverick?

theres room.. just a bit difficult.to get to the rear passenger side bolts you have to take the starter off, and you kind of have to take off the centerlink to get it out easily. I was rebuilding my front end when i put a new pan gasket in, so i had to take all that stuff off anyways..

even so it takes about 10 minuits to pop out the passenger side tie rod end and unbolt the idler arm from the frame. then you can drop all that linkage way down out of your way.

for what it may be worth, my chilton manual says to drop pan as low as it will go. then just remove the oil pump tube and screen and the pan should drop right out. if this doesn't work, somebody please tell me. i have to do this on my 70 real soon
