    Hi,
I have a 1970 maverick with the I170 and c4. The ring gear is 132 teeth, I had to get the converter rebuilt due to ring gear teeth being destroyed by previous owner.
He mentioned he got a new starter, it has three bolts but Id like to confirm which starter to get before trying to start it again.
    Thank you,
    Keaton

Edited: since diameters changed on the ring gear/flex plate they probably use the same starter?
    157; Outer Diameter: 13.294

Normally they use trade number 3131, same starter that fits big block FE engines.

    Thank you
That is the one I ended up with and no issues. Inspected the ring gear after 5 and now closer to 20 starts and they look great

Normally ring gear is damaged due to drive teeth not extending fully. That usually happens when the contact under actuator cover is mis adjusted.
