Looks like a good car with what most people want v8, bucket seats, small bumpers, nice interior and appears to be good condition body wise. Price is in the ball park for going price now a days
No VIN given and looking at dash/control panel, looks like was originally AC, so I bet it was 250 six and 302 was added later. Missing bits and pieces, RH sunvisor pin, window crank knob, but it does have rear window defogger! But without VIN........ Still a nice looking car! David
VIN# 2K31F542382 proves that it was in fact born a V8 car, but I agree in looking at the dash that it probably was an A/C car . That and the fact that when equipped with A/C they usually got 3.00 rear gears, where non-A/C cars generally got 2.79 gears. Axle code 6 on this car denotes the 3.00 ratio. Also, in looking at the surface rust on the trunk floor I would guess that either the trunk seal is bad or the rear window seal is bad.
Definitely was a factory AC car as noted by the two bolts in the cowl that would have held the heater valve, the vacuum canister behind the passenger shock tower, and the lack of the heater fan motor protruding into the engine compartment through the firewall. One can also see the AC expansion valve at the firewall. The rear seat kick panels are really rough and were repainted in place on the car....overspray in the door jambs from that. Steering wheel has a lot of cracks. Steering hoses are routed incorrectly. Some rust at bottom of driver's door on the inside rear corner. Car has been repainted, or at least partially repainted (as noted by overspray on the front lower valence brackets/bolts....I suspect the entire car has been repainted) so one would want to look this car over in person. I agree....it is in the price range for a car like this, as long as any rust repairs were done correctly.
