I’m about to try a front bumper tuck on my ‘73, so I looked under the bumper to see what I was working with. I see three bolt heads on the frame rail (photo attached) and can feel the nuts on the other side but only through the tiny holes underneath (photo attached). I’m not feeling too confident I can remove these bolts due to access. First, are the bolts pictured the ones that need to be removed? If not, please help. If so, is there anything I need to remove to gain access to the nuts to hold backup as I loosen from the bolt head side? Thanks guys.
The part numbers listed correspond to Addco's part numbers. 835 is the 7/8 Maverick front bar, 264 is a 3/4 Granada/Maverick rear bar
The nuts are welded inside the frame. Sometimes they will break off due to rust and you will have to cut off the bolt.
No problem, had that happen to me on a few cars. Real pain in the a**. That’s why when ever I make a junk yard run I always bring a portable grinder lol.
