3.00 rear gear??

    can someone tell me what if anything changes when you go from a 2.79 to a 3.00 rear gear. speedo and rpm. can speedo be brought back to stock reading if it is slow/fast? thanks...frank...:bananaman :bananaman L.T.N.G.

    To tell you the truth, I don't think you will notice much difference.

    Non-stock tire diameter is probably a bigger difference...

    Your speedometer will be slightly off. It will read faster than you are actually going. You can buy the correct speedometer gear from any Mustang supply house. They are a breeze to install.
