Anyone tried the Summit brand headers they list for the Maverick?

    Also, I noticed Summit has a 'Dual Exhaust System' that's listed for Ford/Mercury: 260-302 1967-73 Fairlane/Falcon/Ranchero, 1971-73 Mustang/Cougar, 1968-73 Torino, 1967-73 Comet/Cyclone/Montego for $260. That's headers and all - would they not work on a 302 equipped '74 Maverick?

if its a column shift...no headers will work that I'm aware of....Hooker headers work very well with a floor shifter.

    It's an automatic (3spd) that'll be replaced with a T5 from a Mustang....

My column shift auto and headers worked

This can be done. Takes a little time, but it can be done. All you have to do is rework the shifter linkage. It took some trial and error, but I eventually got it bent and threaded through the headers. Works good. I'll get some pics if you want. Country

I am using Flow-Tech headers from Summitt. Probably the same thing. They are cheap, very will made, and work well. Just get them coated, so they won't rust, like mine did. I think they were under $100. Good luck!!!
