hi all I might be getting a 302 out of a 84 crown victoria (I think thats how ya spell it) with throttle body injection and I was wanting to know if its a roller motor or just worth bilding up at all thanks. BTW its not going to go in my mav !
I am thinking that I read somewhere that they went to the roller style in 1985, but I sure someone here can verify it.
Yeah, it was '85 they switched to roller. Honestly, if i were you, i'd wait and find a roller motor and spend a little extra on it. It will be worth it in the end, as a roller conversion can get expensive and the roller motors do make more power simply because of the roller cam.
I had an 85 crown vic 302 once. The motor was nothing even remotely close to what is in my 86 mustang gt. IMO I would stick with the original motor, or do what it takes to convert the vic motor to the HO version.
