302 swap

    I have another goofy question.

    Sometime at the end of the week I should be buying a 70 maverick with a 6cyl

    I have heard that the transmission tunnel is narrower on this one, will a 3 speed maual transmission fit in there?

    If I do a 302 swap, I want to go with a manual 3 speed.

    My other concern is clutch pedal issues.

    If this cant be done Ill stick with an automatic, if it will fit.

    my '70 came stock with a three on tree it seems to fit fine

    ok, forgot to say 3 speed on the floor, did they ever come stock like that?

    Yes they did

    My 73 Mav is a factory 302 with a 3 speed manual on the floor ,also factory,but there wasn't too many of them.
