Hi everyone. I might be buying a 302 from a 86/87 lincoln. It currently has an aod transmission and I want to stay with a c4, will the engine mount up to my c4 trans or will I need something to make it fit? Thanks everybody.

302/5.0 from 1982 use a 50 0z balance crankshaft, earlier are 28 oz... What you'll need is 157T flexplate with the 50 oz balance which was never factory but available at Summit, Jegs etc...

X 2 on this . No factory flexplates for this only aftermarket. You will also need to use the 50 oz balancer from the later motor in this case.
