    Just mating a 4-speed to a 302 engine in general?....or into a specific model of car......like a Maverick/Comet?

    4 speed

I'm talking about having them matched into a 302 Ford Maverick. It is a factory option in almost all 302 in Brazil, but here I've seem only with 3 speed.

Is the Maverick you want to put the 4-speed in already a manual trans car?

If so, column or floor shift?

Either way, if it's already a manual, the swap should be pretty basic

If it's an automatic, your best bet is to find a manual donor car, or start collecting the manual parts you'll need (pedals, linkage etc) from whatever source you can find them, like ebay, classifieds, salvage yards.

Be sure to get a small block 4-speed and not a 390 or big block transmission. Each has a different input shaft
