5 pin relays

    Have a bunch of 5 pin relays laying around.

    Can I use these the same as the 4 pin relays and just leave the 87a pin hanging? Or is that a bad idea...

    Yep no prob... If I remember correctly 87a is a closed contact, opens when coil is energised, not needed in most applications...

    Yea, that's exactly what the 87a does. As long as it's not dangerous or draining juice, I'd think it would be fine.

    Yep, I do this all the time. You don't have to use the 5th pin, otherwise its exactly the same.
