Since my fuel gauge goes straight to full and never moves. I figured that the instrument voltage regulator could be bad.. I bought one, and I have crawled all over the dash to find it. No luck.. I guess the previous owner was kind enough to take it out.. Where is the IVR supposed to be mounted at?? Not having any luck on the Interweb??

It is on the speedo gauge cluster up high on left hand side. You will have to pull the cluster out to get to it. Not fun. If you unplug the fuel gauge wire at the tank what does it read, should be zero. If it stays at full you may have a short in wiring going to tank

Got the IVR changed thanks yellow75.. Turned the key on and still goes straight to full ( actually past full ).. I've changed the sending unit along with the IVR, so I guess it almost has to be in the wiring from the dash to the tank.. It just keeps getting better and better..

You have a short somewhere. I would bet if you did a continuity test between the wire and a ground you'd have your answer.
