getting ready to do the swap and i noticed that there is a large bolt hole just behind the bumper bracket. i don't have the bumper off yet. i am thinking that there are two holes there for the small bumper brackets already in the frame. could someone tell me if this is true. i think dennis, said that holes need to be drilled and had a template to go by. i am just ?? the 73' frame. thanks for any help. m.a.v. came by and dropped of two sets of bracket bolts. i had a set. now in the three sets, one set from a 69.5, and two from a 71'. in these sets they are diff. size and shape washers and the bolts are two diff. lengths. the bolts are the same dia. but one head is the flat type and one has the washer made onto the bolt head. i know this is not a big thing (could be the drugs) but has anyone else seen this?..frank.

You will have to drill holes in the frame and weld nuts in it. I have a '73 and I know what you are talking about with the extra nuts in the frame but it is not for the earlier bumpers(I thought the same thing). Some bolts differ in size from time to time.
