I have disassembled many instrument clusters for the Maverick, but have never been inside one made for the 75-77 with the white back plate that is notorious for disintegrating/crumbling. I have managed to locate an NOS back plate but wanted to ask those who have taken one apart a couple questions.
In photo A below, there are hooks (for lack of a better term) and 4 pins around them. These are located in several areas throughout the back plate. In photo B, (this is taken of a back plate made for a truck), I see a Blue transparent dome designed to illuminate the cluster in that color.

Did the inside of a cluster for the 75-77 Maverick have these domes? and were they blue as well?

Yes, I have one apart right now, that I am rebuilding with fiberglass, and there were three of the domes inside. And, yes, blue.
