i have a 90 ford mustang gt and my fuel pump constantly runs and i cant find the relay for it can u help me
If i remember correctly, the 90's came with a CCRM (Constant Control Relay Module)mounted on the passenger side strut tower (they came on the 4 cyl cars in 90 for sure). There is no independent relay for the fuel pump it is contained in a box with relays that control the fan and a few other things as well. You have to replace the module if you have a relay that is sticking. Also, what do you mean it is constantly running, like when the car is shut off, or as in as the car runs it won't cycle? If it won't shut off while the car is running, I am pretty sure that is the way it is designed to be as it is a return style system. But if it just started doing this, I would try the fuel pressure regulator first.
thanks for the info i found were the relay was located .it was located under the drivers seat.what happend my friend wrecked his car and after that the fuel pump was running with the key in the off postion.so we diconnect the battery. so after we located the relay we unpluged it and plugged it back in and it woked fine.but thanks for the info
Awesome. I looked it up again (again this is for the 4 cyl cars) they started with the CCRM in 1991.. same year as dual plug head cars came out... and yet again, unsure about the GT's for that year.
