First of all my engine light is on. parts that I have replaced is DPFE sensor and EVR Solenoid. EGR valve 0 2 sensors four of them. my scanner shows engine code P1409. This is a BOD 2 systems. also shows emissions control system malfuncation. further more I have no code for P1409 in Haynes Manual. The DPE sensor and EVR solenoids has electrical wires, and 2 vacuum lines. also is hooked up to the metal pipe I was talking about.
the metal tube attaches from EGR VALVE to the pass. side EXHAUST MANIFOLD and the DPFE SENSOR is hooked up between the two.The two vac.lines are in perfect shape, however when a vacuum gauge is used the needle fluctuates ?
Sorry I have no pictures to show you.

    Thank you for your help.

    Have a good day,
    Eddie :hmmm:

P1409 - EGR Vacuum Regulator Control Circuit Malfunction

Triple check vaccum routing and lines for breaks or cracks.

Metal tube I assume from EGR valve to cylinder head? As far as I know that shouldn't through the code you are speaking of unless there is a meter of some sorts entering the head.

Sometimes the EGR tube and intake ports will clog with carbon. This happens more often on the 4.6/5.4. The code is usually an "EGR no flow" though.
