Hey folks, I thought you might want to take a look at a brake set up that I've come up with. it takes 99 and up Mustang GT (PBR) calipers and mounts them to Granada/Monarch/Maverick/Comet spindles. I've done this for my '66 Fairlane and many other folks seem to like it. I passing this on to you Maverick folks to see if some of you may be interested. If there is enough interest, I'd like to provide a kit for those interested. Let me know if there is interest. I'm trying to get all my ducks in a row before I undertake a project like this. Thanks for any feedback. http://www.geocities.com/fairlaniac/brakes.html
I know what you are doing. The disc calipers are very pricey to to buy if it is the same one I know about. A few machined shims and other mounting hardware and some welding makes a nice large 4 piston caliper pad area assembly. The originator of this brake change will not sell any parts due to the liabality nature and saftey issues that could happen in event of failure. I would consider this if I were you and let the owner build his own for those reasons. The drawings and dimensions are on a website for anyone to copy. You may be that website owner.
