I bought the Deale 16" from Summet. With a little trimming of the stone guard support, it fit in front of the radiator which is what I wanted. Its rated at 2175 cfm. I dont know how it works yet cause my motor is still on the stand.

    Why the front?

How come its not on the back? What are the main differences? I thought they always put it on the back since the cool air blows on the front while you drive. I have been thinking of doing a electric fan to free up a little more HP.

you can mount most of them either way. I like it in the front because it cleans up the engine bay. Most installations I've seen behind the radiator just barely clear the pullies. Just a cosmetic thing to me.

It is part # DER16516 and $120. It has the highest rated cfm of all the ones they sell. The radiator is a special order Griffin. 2 rows at 1 1/2" each. Also ordered thru Summit, for a mere $550. It is mounted in front of the radiator but not to it. I made brackets and mounted it to the core support. I think mounting it with those "through the radiator ties" looks kinda cheesey. Plus most are a 1 shot deal so if you ever have to take it off, you'll have to get more or make something up anyway.

    shaking my head

Man Mavaholic, every time I see your car I just have to shake my head. That is one awesome job you're doing. I love that you are making it your own by doing all the extras. By making it your own I mean not making it totally original but adding personal touches to make it better. I hope you post more pics of different areas as time goes by.

I have all MSD on my. If you call JEG's or SUMMIT they can get you the distributor, coil, and the Ignition box. Doing it this way makes it easy. They come ready to plug together and put it in. Can be done in less than a hour or so. And...............it makes a worl of difference in the character of the car.
