Everyone out there must have one of these. It's the flexible part between the air filter extension and the air tunnel. It's made of a fabric and shaped in an accordian fashion. Mine is completely torn up. Is this part available in another material? After 74 were these connectors made of plastic? Must I revert to duct tape to cover the gap? Thanks for your assistance.
My Mav never had one of those, at least it didn't when I got it. I was beginning to think it never came with one but i've been curious about this myself. Our Van has one but it's all shredded and needs replacing.
do you guys mean that tube that goes from the air cleaner to down near the exhaust manifold?... mine never had one either until 2 weeks ago when rhe car was running REAL bad. it was real cold out. i also found that (assuming this is what you guys are talking about)my car idles a lot better now that i bought a new one of these. 2.50 at the parts store. runs great no matter how cold it is!
Air Passage On my six the extension on the air cleaner runs down to an air tunnel on the right side. There's supposed to be a flexible piece to connect the air filter to the outside air tunnel coming in from the grill. It's flexible because of the shaking of the engine during start up. The accordian shape eventually starts to tear apart. The arrangement on your 302 is probably different.
