I just swapped the front Disk brake wheels and 8" rear end and wheels from my '77 parts car onto my '70 Mav. Then I guestimated the alignment and took it to a shop to have it aligned. It drove straight, but the passenger side front started to squeal on the way home, and the steering wheel was off to the right. I started looking, and the camber was angled out insread of in on the passenger wheel. Got to checking, and they'd set everything as if the driver side wheel was already right--- and I know the toe-in is too much. I told the guy it needed a complete alignment, told him I'd just swapped out all the wheels. The car has never been wrecked. Anyway, do I have to take it to Ford to get the OEM alignment?
nope. Just head back to that same shop and if they are reputable at all they'll take care of it. I did alignments for a while and try as you may, everyone makes mistakes once in a while. I had a few come back to me and I welcomed the opportunity to check my own work and make sure the customer went away happy and with a safe vehicle. Be ready though, because only once did it turn out to be my own fault. There may be parts required to make it right. Good luck.
Yea take it back Sounds like you know enough about what is goin on so they wont try to pull the wool over your eyes . Squealing isnt part of an alignment OEM or not
After they perform an alignment they're supposed to test drive the car, doesn't sound like they did that.
