I have a 74 Maverick and I can't figure out where the antenna plugs into the back of the stock radio. It's AM, and I couldn't find anything else in the forums.

I'm not a big stereo guy, I'm not keen on pulling the radio. I can feel around in back, and the only hole I can find is no go. I'm assuming I'm going to have to pull, but it's dark right now.

I'd really prefer not to yank it, so if you could, please help me out.

EDIT: I just realized it's an AM radio, so I may be replacing it, but in the meantime I'd like to at least have Mexican radio.

The only stock AM radio I have is out of a '73. The Antenna plugs into the right side of it about 3/4 inch from the back side of the radio. The antenna wire just pulls out, although you may have to kind of twist it and stuff.

Right side from the rear, or from the front? I'm not at the car as we speak, and itsa hot outside, so I'd like to know 'fore I go melt away under my dash.

Nah, I want it out of my little cone speaker. And besides, I work in Cave Creek and I'd rather listen to mariachi than country music, personally.:yup:
