It always seem that I am a dollar short or a day late in most cases, but last Thursday on my home I went a different way. I was about 15 miles from home when I saw a maverick in a back yard. It was a 72 but someone had tryed to turn it into a grabber. I needed a rear spoiler so I stopped to try and buy the spoiler. I bought the car for $75.00. The motor and trans are bad but the body is good for around here. By buying the car I got; Rear Spoiler, Grabber Hood, a title, and in the trunk a set of Window Louvers. Finally after almost 43 years I was not late or short $. :D

Awesome, way to go! I know of a Grabber sitting in a yard close to me, now I just need to see if I can get it for pretty cheap.

Good find. They were probably happy to get $75 for the "piece of crap in the backyard". They probably laughed as you drove it away surprised they got money for it, little do they know they could have sold just the hood for double what they did the car.

That is a rare find indeed, congrats. I would certainly jump on a deal like that myself esp since i'm in the market for a Grabber hood right now.

    Louvers?

What are these rear window louvers in the trunk?? Are they like the Boss/Mach rear window louvers made for a Maverick? You selling them? Put me first on the list ...

I will be restoring it for my daughter. She's trying to take mine but she's only 12 giving me 4 years to have ready. The louvers are like 69-70 mustang buy only have 4 rows.

Do you plan on using the louvers or selling them?

The louvers are, well, really rare. I have some on my mav and have had many failed attempts to find a auto-cad program to blueprint them, I did a few blueprints by hand to send the Steve H but they never made it there? Anyone know of a good auto-cad type program? (cough cough, pirated is ok by me. shhhhhh) If not where could I take them to have them blueprinted by someone how knows what they are doing? How much would it run? I could get the blueprint scanned and post it online. Mine are a little banged up but not bad at all. Here is a pic of mine.
