Man, John came down yesterday and we bled the brakes got it out in the drive way and the right rear locked up. Got to looking at the lines to the "metering valve" and the line from the big side reservoir went to the back brakes and visa-versa. So this morning I bought another line and changed that, bled the brakes and again the same thing. I'm not worried about one brake in the back locking up, I can adjust that but I would really like my front brakes to do the right amount of stopping. Any ideas?

Sounds like it could be time for a new master cylinder. Metering valve could be shot. This is nothing to play around with. Your safety is at stake.

Did you do a disc conversion? If so, did you convert the distribution block to the dics brake one? Are the front brake lines or hoses new? Please describe your brake system so I can get a better idea.

Mavaholic, I did do the disc conversion. I put 3an lines brake lines on the front. it is a brand new disc brake master cylinder. Using the distibuting block that was in the car. I have the disc brake distributing block but have not used it because in an earlier post you stated that you didn't change that, not blaming you by any means I just went with what I read, and it was easier also than changing the block so I hoped it would work. Thanks.

if they're manual discs up front, I've got problems as well. I've got new everything....including lines, metering valve MC wheel cyls, calipers, rotors, drums, everythying except the pedal. No difference, still stops like crap. Needs about 100 lbs of pedal pressure to get it to slow down...but still will not lock the front wheels on loose gravel. My drums on my bracket car stop better from 120 mph than the manual discs do from 40. And they drag less too!
