does anyone know if the bearing retainer from a bw T-5 tranny will swap with the T-45 4spd. Mine is broke and can't find a replacement, but the T-5 part is readily available and fairly inexpensive. I can't continue my engine swap untill I have obtain this part.
t-45 4 speed?? aren't the t45's the newer 5 speed tranny's?? I do know that they are differnt beasts. go to www.corral.net or superstallions.com some great mustang guys there, could probably find one in a few minutes
the tranny came out of an '82 mustang 5.0, from what I've been told it's a T-45 it's for sure a 4spd though.
No way, a T45 is a 1996-up Mustang GT 5 speed. You have a Single Rail Overdrive SROD 4 speed. It's like a toploader with an aluminum case and internal shift rail. Pretty sure they are not the same but a toploader one might work.
Try one of these places. http://4speedtoploaders.com/bearings.htm http://www.5speeds.com/toploader.html
