big block bell v.s. small block bell

    1973 comet, 1977 4 door mav(dead), 1964 falcon 4 door wagon, 1936 studebaker dictator
    so i was wondering what are the differences in these two bell housing? will they bolt to the same transmissions in standard trans aplicaitons? are they the same length, (from the side that bolts to the tranny to the side that bolts to the motor)? do the trannys that they go on use different input shafts? or any other info that might be important? thanks a lot.

    i ended up figuring out what i needed. took the old bell to the junk yard and a tapemeasure and went to town and found out what we needed.
