I just got my maverick last week, so please forgive me if i bombard the board with questions. A few days ago, a few of you helped me out with the universal joint. and now, this may be obvious to all ya'll but help me out. In the morning I warm my car up for awhile. Anyhow, when I first drive it, if I don't give it enough has when it's idling in drive it'll stall/shut off. I have an automatic trans. Anyhow, if I do accelerate enough, it's fine. The car doesn't accelearte well when I accelerate slowly, (but only when I first drive it). is this normal? Any suggestions? I'm sure I'll have new (maybe dumb to you) questions by tomorrow. I just love my mav, and I want to learn a lot about it. thanks!! Sara
Sara; could be that the idle is too low, or the choke is not working properly. Check those out. Also, could be a bad accelerator pump. Check them out in that order, from easiest to more difficult to fix. Good luck, Earl
