This is the third time i have had this car.My dad bought it in 1985 and i drove it and my 6 cyl 67 mustang all through school (i still have the mustang). in 87 dads shop closed and the car was sold to pay bills.fast forward to 1990 i find the car and talk the wife into letting me buy it back . 1993 and 2 kids later i was forced to sell it again. I kept track of it and made several offers for it over the years but he would not sell. Then i ran into the guy last month and he was ready to sell. I sold the sprint , the 74 ldo, and the 76 comet and got the deal done. The car is tore apart and in worse shape than i had hoped for but it is back home with me and it will stay this time. the guy in the photo is the guy i bought it from
Great you could get it back! I really don't want my first car back, 67 Mustang 6 cyl, but would love to get back my second car, 67 Mustang 289! I always loved that body style Fairlane/Comet. I nearly bought one a few years back, wish now that I had of.
Sweet Todd! My parents had a 66 Fairlane when I was growing up, I would love to have that car but it was used to do a little utility pole logging. Some day maybe but my wish list is so long I doubt it will ever happen.
i had a 67 and had to sell it many years ago. i found it 3 months ago and the guy wants $5000 for it. no floors left in it, just rust. also has seen many winters in harsh Canadian climate since i owned it. good option for parts and i would value it at 2-300 dollars. just beat to death. sad to see it go.
i gave $2500 for it this time. the last time i sold it was for $250. it is about 95% rust free but needs a full resto.
It's a slow go my friend, there is still way too much to do on the outside of the house. 2 1/2 acres doesn't sound like much but it's a ton of work when it isn't set up properly. I did get the drivers floor pan welded in and a fair amount of the engine compartment pieces welded in.
