i actually enjoy driving it. it's got a roomier interior than a ranger and seems to get about 3-4 more mpg than the ranger with a 2.3/5sp...

it's a '98, 2.2, 5sp, 175k and runs great. bought it from my brother's friend to drive back and forth to work. not big on the wheels, but they'll do till i find some better ones

Never had one myself but I have had a lot of cheap transportation and still do have one of them. I, myself would keep it until something else I liked better came along and or someone thought they liked it better than I did. Four years ago, almost five I bought a one owner 92 Buick GS that hit a curb and stuffed the left front tire back far enough that we had to turn the tires all the way to the right and even then we had to pry the tire off. I thought I would just pick up another sub frame for $50 and a couple of hrs work have it ready to go but when I called a friend of mine that owns a parts yard he informed me that those subs were a one of frame. It has a 3.8 in it and only a couple years fit it and the other motor size frames will not work without major changes so I put it on the alignment rack to take a better look and an hour and a half later with the 10 ton porta-power and a big freakin' hammer the frame was straight with no evidence that it had been bent. 15 min later it was aligned and out the door. Paid $100 for it and put a new set of sneakers on it, washed, waxed and shampooed the interior and wha-la, Mothers Day was taken care of. Wife is still driving it with no major repairs, just normal maintanence. I gues in short I am saying if you like it, DRIVE it. :tiphat:

You bought it - drive it till something or someone hits you and then let the insurance company pay for a Maverick or Comet!
