So the new combo is 255/70r15 rear and 195/60r15 front. US Wheel Daytonas (black) Rear 8" w 3 3/4"BS and front 7" w 3 1/4" (I think) BS.
A member asked me for some pics and I took a few. here's a link to them so Dial up folks can choose not to see. I think this is about the tallest tire I've had on the rear of this car and there isn't much more room.

thats the look i am going for, except for the 70 series tire.. it makes it look like a HUGE tire

so you dont have a problem with 255 on a 15x8 with 3.75" BS?

thats the tire i want to get

Those fronts are awfully short and those rears are awfully tall...

    Correct.
Note that this is in the cosmetic forum. Definately got the 'big and little' bit covered.
The super tall rears make it a bit more pleasant at freeway speeds and suprisingly doesn't handle terribly. My slicks are three inches shorter than these rears. A better functional match.

You probably already know of this mod, but your pics made me think to bring it up.
Especially if you do experiment with tires...

When I zero'd in the tune on my slapper bars, they were in a position to dig into the sidewalls of my tires when hard turning/cornering.

I cut the sharp ends off at an angle and then rounded all the corners.
I put red lines where I removed metal... in one of your pics.

Keep on experimenting! Just adds to the knowledge base of what will and won't fit.

Trouble is my slicks don't fit if I bring it down.
One day I'll get some ten inch wide slicks instead of the 11.5's I have now.
