Brake Line Manifold (Proportional valve)

    Two questions.

    Did the 1972 and 1973 four wheel drum brake Maverick have a proportional valve in the brass manifold? I'm guessing they did not. My mechanic said the valve was leaking and needs a new one. I though the drum brake unit was basically a piece of sold brass with channels for the fluid to flow.

    I converted to disc on the front so I figure I do need to install a correct proportional valve. It looks like the one in the attached link would do the job without having to bend or replace brake lines.

    make sure the ports are the correct size.
