    Hi Folks,
I'm a long time Maverick fan who has owned several, but am actually brand new to this forum. My question is in regard to the Brazillian Mavericks. I just learned about these models and I'm really curious about the "Mustang Similar" tail lights. First, does anyone know where I can find a set of these. And second, will they fit in the stock tail light holes of an American car? Any help would be appreciated. - Thanks

If you look in the Station Wagon thread you'll see the taillights, and the holes they fit in. The holes are not the same. I don't know how to get them, although contacting the guy selling the wagon might be start.

    Brazilian tail lights

Thanks for the advice Charlie. I just sent him an e-mail. I can now see the holes are actually different, but I think I could make it work. The wagons seem to have the lights mounted more in-board to allow for the tail gate. Unfortunately this kinda ruins the looks somewhat. Check out the pictures of the gold Maverick in the link attched below. Man, does that ever look cool! I like the black stripe on the back as well. I may try to duplicate that too.

You know it's actually kind of funny. I once critisized my brother for putting a set of 68 Cougar tail lights in his 71 Grabber, yet now I'm considering doing something very similar. I don't normally condone hokey add-ons, but I guess I'm justifying this to myself as OK, because these are actually Maverick tail lights and not something from an entirely different model.

I'll post an update if I end up getting a set of these lights.

    Re: Taillights

I know it has been done many times before, but I still think that the Mercury Bobcat taillights look stunning in the Maverick. In fact I am surprised that they aren't what came on the Comets.
