I think you will have to find some Maverick/Comet bucket seat tracks. I heard of someone putting the mid 90's thunderbird seats in their Maverick, but only when they mounted them on bucket seat tracks from a Maverick/Comet.
you need a welder It only took me about two hours to install maxima power seats. Because they are power ther is no need for the tracks. I imagine whatever you use you could weld up something on any track to make it work. I know this isn't really help...maby a friend has a welder. Mig is the way to go.
You can make almost any seat track fit with a little fab work... You can add re-inforcing around the bolt holes and mount any seat you want... I will be installing a set of power buckets from a cougar but i have to drill new holes and add some re-inforcing around the holes along with some shims to level it up ... Direct bolt up swap ... nope
While we are on the subject of replacement seats... I have the bucket seat brackets for my Mav, but have been looking for some later-model seats to replace them with. Does anyone know of any late-model seats that will simply bolt to the bucket seat brackets with no mods? Thanks, Tracy
Almost all Ford bucket seat frames are the same. I've used Aerostar seats(extremely comfy) and Escort GT seats with no problems. Bolted right to the Maverick rail.
