Calling all So Cal - LA / OC - Mavericks / Comets

Was wondering if any of you Maverick Owners in So Cal / LA county / OC are here on these boards. Just looking for a shout out. Here are the ones I've seen.

Sorry not to sure on years but color, details and city I saw them in is what I am for sure.

70 - 72 Yellow Maverick with Black Shelby Type Stripes and Spoiler as well. Saw on 10 fwy West Bound around Kellogg Hill

70 - 72 Baby Blue Maverick perpetrating that he's me in San Gabriel area. With Roll bar and 16 inch Japanese Wheels. Don't forget mine was done up in the late 80's… so : P j/k Old owner of the car went to join the Army or something. Sammy?

70 - 72 Black Grabber Maverick in West Covina near Cameron, 14 inch wheels looks like new paint job and a 6 cyl.

70 - 72 Black Maverick in Alhambra near old G&H autoparts store. Aftermarket wheels I think Cragars

70 -72 Faded Red Maverick in Alhambra near Main near all the car dealerships. Rear raised up in the back looks like air shocks

70 - 72 White Comet on 605 fwy north and south bound near 5 fwy, seen three times. Clean as heck almost looks restored.

70- 75 Gold Maverick at Irwindale Drag strip. Looks like there just getting the car going for some fixing up.

72 - 73 White Maverick with Half Black Vinyl top in Monterey Park parked near Fire Station near Garfield close to Macy School. Back in the late 80's just wondering what happened with it.

70 - 75 Blue Maverick in Covina near Azusa Arrow Hwy. 302 engine. If your out there you use to like to say I was copying your car and that you wanted to race me but had to get your Nitrous and slick down.. This was in the early 90's. Funny thing is mine was done up before you even bought yours. Hee Hee Hee. Just want to see if your still around so we can talk some smack j/k

70 Grey w/80 graphics on it Maverick. Tubbed with 33 inch MTs and had 350 Chevy in it. Yeah a 350 Chevy. The Original owner lived in Buena Park and sold it to someone and the last time I saw it, it was at Street Legal Drags in Pomona back in 93 or so.

73 or so Can't remember color but it was a Comet or Maverick at LACR been awhile like 1989 or so had Predator carb on it trailered with slicks. It Ran like high 14's after you told me my set up was wrong and that Mallory sucks and Accel is the best. BTW I ran a 13.70 that day. However am sure your is fast now.

70 - 72 Beige Maverick Hispanic guy dragging it at Pomona with NOS ran high 11's or so. Major Sleeper!

70 - 72 blue Maverick last seen at Knotts Berry Farm in 91 or so with 6cyl, Clifford research Headers and Duel Exhaust. Sounded sweet like a V8.

I am sure there are more of them but just wondering if you all out there or seen any of them.

Laters and keep the Maverick / Comets going!

WOW! you have spent an incredible amount of time documenting what you have seen that is great! Unfortunetly I am not one of those cars, but I do have a faded baby blue 2 dr 302 72. I live in Corona, work in Anaheim, and am all over so cal. Which one is your mav, I will keep an eye out for it. If we get enough responses, maybe a so-cal meet could happen?

Sounds like a mini meet is in order for sure, though I will have to drop my gas tank and find my fuel clog, and register the car, etc etc, any ideas for a meet? Maybe have one in a month or two, give some time to get ready.
