Can the exaust be left off at the donut?

    69 mav pieced together from 2 73 mavs and a 73 grabber
    I broke one of the bolts off while trying to replace a very dead donut gasket, so now i have a loud (actualy i like the sound :D) I-6 170...will running it daily like this hurt it?

    It will not hurt anytihing but you really need to effect a repair for ehaust gas reasons.
    There is a special 'C' clamp available at an auto parts store that should enable you to draw that side togather.:)

    Three mav get a new manifold and have your local mufler guy run you a dump pipe in front of the rear tire... You wont die and it will be lowd as hell!!!!

    O well it spun 3 bearings...after im done railroad work im going to drop the 302 i have sitting there ready for it..
