I need a clutch/brake pedal mount. Its the part that mounts the pedals to the car.

I have the pedals already and am guessing I cant add the clutch pedal to the auto assembly can I?

    Does anyone have one?

What other cars can I get one out of besides mavericks? Mine's a 74 auto going to be a 4 speed toploader.

    Thanks
    Chad

    new question but related

With the factory clutch linkage is the throw out fork pushed or pulled?

I looked at my tranny again and it looks like I have to have a cable because the throw out fork need to move towards the engine to disingage the trans. The trans cam out of a 81 capri.

    Thanks

I believe the pedal frame is the same for both autos and manuals. You should just have to change out the pedal. The factory set up is all mechanical rods so it pushes the fork towards the rear of the car. You have a late model bell housing which uses a cable. You'll have to adapt the cable system, go hydraulic, or get stuff from an origional set up.

Like Dennis stated, you will need an earlier bellhousing if you want to use the old zbar and rod for your clutch. If you do go this way, pay attention to early 80's f 150 trucks. They have beefier components than the maverick did. I was going to change my car over to a cable type clutch. Modifying the good original setup with beefier truck stuff has ended my problems of tearing stuff up. Since I did this a couple years ago, I have not had one problem with my clutch. Before, I was always dickin with it to keep a good pedal.
