Getting up at 5:45 this morning revealed that our looser druggie of a neighbor had pushed a 74 2-door Comet into the road. We know it was him, but no one can proove it for sure. Don't worry, he does this stuff all the time. Anyway, being a Comet, I went our and popped the hood. It was a factory V8 car, with an automatic. I snagged the throttle cable and the new aftermarket coil, along with car ramps that were under the tires and various crud in the front seat. The back seat was full of aluminized exhaust tubing, and the remnants of the stock system. This car had power steering, and I think they were trying to make something of this car, but couldn't get it running, and dumped it. It shouldn't have taken much though, because all the fluids were there, and it was a complete, straight car. (No rust!) Anyway, I also noticed that the Factory V8 fan shroud was PERFECT, but unfortunatly, I had to leave for school before I could remove it. I am going to call the CHP tomorrow, and find out where it was towed, and if I can get some parts from it. I will let you know what happens. Man, what a way to start the day!! -Corbin
Well, I called the CHP this morning, and they informed us where all the junked cars go, so we called them. Turns out that as of 6:00 this morning, the Comet was crushed and sent to Richmond to an autorecycling place. What luck.... -Corbin
