Alright. I am sure many of you know that My mav is no show piece. In fact, I have to lift the lid of my carb up and dump fuel in the bowl just to move it space to space in my apt. However, I have had that car its whole life...blah blah. My apt managers are anal about working on cars..strictly not allowed. I really have to go through hoops just to keep my car there. Well, came time to move the car to the next space, as I do once a week, and I put my fuel in the carb, throw it into reverse, and it stalls(expected of course) So I shove it back into park, and restart, throw it into reverse...WTF!!!!! no reverse, no drive, oh sh*t, the gear selector is moving through the gears like it was coated with ky jelley.!Would not catch onto any gear, and my mav was stuck in the middle of the street, damn! I started to panick, I had never come across this. I was about to jack up the car and pull the drive shaft, which would have gotten me into to trouble for working on the car, when I went Hmmmm, in other words, I calmed down, and let my brain actually work. I popped the hood, followed the steering linkage, and saw where the trans lever was disconnected from the shift lever, Ok, duh for some of you pros, you know this already, but I have never worked on this before. I managed to pop them back together enough to shift the car into gear and get it back into space. Wow, sometimes I don't know what I would do if I wasn't myself( I guess I would have to call me for help_

Anyway, I assume one of those jesus clips snapped off of it right? What connects these two pieces? I must get them back together permanently so I can continue to move the car till my house goes through next month(then the restro starts)
