Hey, figured i'd see what kind of compressor setups you guys are running, and if you're open to it, prices of what you bought. Some compressors seem to be great deals for similar products, at 1/3 the cost. Some compressors are ungodly expensive.

I personally have a 6hp 60 gallon Puma compressor, oil and belt driven, nice nad quiet, even in a cement wall shop with no openings other than the garage door opening. Has like 11.5CFM, no problems keeping up with ANY tool :bananaman

Price, i personally bought mine for 400$ "used". The guy had bought it, hadnt ran 220 yet, and then was leaving for Hawaii for a new job opportunity, never ran, and bought for about 200 under "new" IIRC

My cheapy Campbell Hausfield 6hp 60gal is now 10 years old. I thought if I got 10 years out of it I would be happy and so I am. Payed $300 for it new, brother got a deal from where he worked. When the time comes I will replace it with a Quincy.

Dan, guess it makes sense to buy a Quincy, no shipping charges for you! Do you know anyone that works there?

I don't have one but I am buying one this week. Not quite sure what to get. I am leaning toward an 80 gallon. I want the best quality possible.

Whatever you buy, mount it in another building or back behind a wall. Nothing worse than listening to that thing run.

Dennis, I am putting it in my shed that is 90 feet away from my garage. I burried the air line under ground from my garage to my shed. It is 1" plastic gas line that is 30" deep. The exposed piping will be 3/4" galvanized pipe. I'm eventually going to put a sandblaster box in my shed but when I work in my garage I won't be able to hear anything but my rock and roll.
