Is converting to short bumpers.... rediculous, or smart?
Or should i convert to fiberglass bumpers?

Also, Any ideas on if i should take the vinyl top off, sand down the lil "walls" that went around the sides of it, then re-paint the car a shiney black? or leave it with the blue/white look?

The small bumpers look nice and it's easy to do. There's been several posts on this board about it. I like my DynoMax mufflers. They only get loud when you put your right foot down hard.

    Keep it!

As far as the vinyl roof, and color goes. I would keep it! It is pretty sharp! IMO You don't see many Mavericks with that color scheme and vinly roof!

    My $.02

I did the bumper swap, '74 to '73 bumpers.
As far as color and the top, keep the vinyl top
and the blue. I think it looks sharper than the
plain bodied colors. It will be more unique.

It's easier to do the swap if you buy a donor
    car complete.

    Good Luck-

I have dynomaxs turned down at the axle on my car now, a little low because it reverbs off the ground too much.

Dynomax have a decent sound, but in my opinion are a little too subdued and mellow. I have a couple of 2 chamber flowmasters that will likely replace the dynomax.

I put some proflows or flowpros ( LOL) on mine a few years ago and they are so loud I can't even think when I drive it .

Maybe I am just too old now

    RELIC!!!

I might be able to help you. Me and my dad havent gone to our favorite junkyard lately, so now i may have a reason to go. I could get you all the brakets and valances needed. they may not be perfect, but they sure would get the job done with a little paint. As far as the bumpers, I would just buy them rechromed already. If you like we could get you bumper cores as well. email me if you are interested. Russian361@aol.com
