I put a set of copper header gaskets of the fe in my truck because the paper ones leaked. I put the copper ones on and they leak extremely bad. I have all the bolts real tight. I do not have them reversed. Any ideas before I order another set of paper gaskets

Are the bolts too long and bottoming out before they can really tighten the header to the head? Just a thought.

if the FE in your statement is for motor type, are the manifolds the large openining or small. are the gaskets the same as the manifolds. the manifold side has to be perfectly matched, they can be bigger than the head port just not smaller of course.

That's what I'm thinking. The copper gaskets are thinner than the paper ones. I have the copper gaskets on my old 84 4x4 351W, They have never leaked.....

I run the mr gasket ultra seals that you cut your self as well. however, on your if you have headers make sure the weld on the headers is still thick and flat. you may want to send them back though and go with the ultraseal. better than standard paper and copper IMO. cheaper too.
