A new Maverick/Comet hard cover book is scheduled to be released in April. I was e-mailed by Marc Cranswick the author back in August of 2019 requesting information and photos of my Comet Hotrock for publication in the book. Hotrock has just 4 pictures and a paragraph of information in the drag racing section. Any publicity is good publicity!

This is the second time for Hotrock to be published; it graced the pages of Car Craft back in February 2001

I just found out about the book's release. I'm confident that numerous cars from this forum and the MCCI club are in this book.

Congratulation to all that made the cut!

I have attached a link to Amazon books if you wish to place an advance order; other sources are also available.

Cool , all of the cars in the background are very familiar like all MCCI members rides. I will have to purchase a copy thanks for the heads up .

It would be neat if everybody that has had their car in a feature article in a mag could list it. At one time I had a stack of mags that had articles or just pics of Mavs and Comets stashed away

Congrats Hotrock, having a picture of your car in a book is quite the accomplishment. One thing I always felt there wasn't enough of with 'historic' automotive books was pics of modified versions.

I personally think if the Comets and Mavericks received more performance from Ford, they would've made great factory musclecars.

The cars in the background are from a picture taken at Roundup in 2012. Little bit different angle here.

I got my copy of Ford Maverick and Mercury Comet 1970-77 today!

    MCCI is well represented.

Hotrock is in chapter six "Drag racing the compacts." Hotrock has been elevated to be in the company of Don Nicholson, Galpin Ford/Autosports, Fast Eddie Schartman and Gapp & Roush.

    I'm humbled!

Don't delay on getting your copy.
