I bought me an engine and was told it had ported e7's on it, I pulled them today and found out their d8oe's so how good are they? I might end up using them or the e6's that I already have.

Stay away-far away from the e6's.

I don't know anything about that other head you mentioned, but I can tell you the e6 heads are 1986 specific and were called "swirl" heads. You might be aware of this, but they are completely wortheless no matter what you do to them---do not waste your time with them.

You can get a nice set up e7's cheap, and go from there

will, couldn't find too much on them but my book says they are 69cc chamber size, and have 1.78 intake and 1.45 exhaust.:)

don't throw away those d8oe heads.

If you have a little patience, a die grinder, and lots of time, you can turn those into nice units.
I spent some time on a set of mine aside from being iron and small valved, I think they turned out great.

Here's the only pic I have of them.
    sorry about the bad post.
I'd keep those around for a low octane tolerant or forced induction project due to the giant combustion chambers.
