is there any way to quiet the upper control arm bushings? They are realy driving me nuts. my only fix for now is to turn the music up louder. if I have to replace them, how difficult of a job is it? honestly, I want people to turn and look becuase they hear the sweet sounding dual exhaust, not because they hear squeaky old bushings.

MavMan; go to any Mustang supply shop, and ask for the 90 degree zerk kit (about $16.00). It comes with the tool needed, the fittings, which are longer and a better bend, and are easy to put in. Just use a quarter inch wrench and remove the plugs and install the fittings. Load them up with grease, and the squeaks go away. Good luck!

Another option is to replace them with the Moog Problem solver bushings and shaft. Part # K8233

This kit replaces the metal on metal shaft/bushing with rubber bushings similar to those used on Chevy uper a-arms. No greasing required, ever. A second advantage is that the width of the shaft/bushing is about 1/2" narrower per side. This will allow you to do the Shelby 1" drop of the a-arms without worrying about interference from the shock tower sides.

I have installed these on my 69.5 and done the 1" drop. Looks good so far.
