I just finally got 3 red mavericks from around the area walmarts. while there i was checking out the models and saw a 1/24 (i think) fresh cherries unpainted
pinto and pacer....this is good... mavericks shouldnt be far behind then we
can paint them to match our cars.

i have about 25 cars now...i got all the white and yellow i could find around here. in the past week i found 3 red ones..but what caught my eye was the
1/24 dicast kits from motormax. the cars were like the glue kits except they
were plain diecast...not painted...which means we can paint the cars to match
our life size....if they produce the maverick....they had a pinto and a pacer:cry:

I didn't wait to paint mine, I bought 3 fresh cherries cars, sanded them down and painted them in the color schemes i have in mind. It really helps to determine which color scheme you want, if your car is not finished like mine.

I've got several of each color. Yellow and Red have always been the easiest to find around here. White have been few and far between. Can't wait till the bigger ones come out!

a co-worker handed me another red one today. makes 4 now....he is a diecast collector
and is always checking the stores.. it doesnt colect the fresh cherries jus the johnny lightnings, so it is looking for mavericks for me. All the wallmats here have just put out
bunches of white and yellow but i have only found 1 red at each of them.

Don't know what happened, just as I thought they were getting easier to find.
I went to out local Wal-Mart today and......NO sign of ANY fresh cherries cars, no amc, no mustang, no pinto's all gone:huh:
Wonder if our store has quit carrying them, just as I thought would be able to find a 1/24th sometime. (with the primered pintos some have seen)

They must come in all Ford or AMC products in a case. I have found lots of AMC Pacers and Gremlins, no Fords around here. Also some 1/24 Pinto green and brown and blue gremlins.
