Ok I'm in the middle of doing the swap now. One spindle assmbley is on the other is half off. The donor parts are from a 76 monarch.

My problem is the hoses dont enterchange? I know the maverick hose is shorter. How do I fix this? The nut(for lack of a better word) on the brake line to the car is smaller than the one on the end of the brake hose for the maonarch. In short the drum brake hose has smaller fittings at both end than the monarch hose.

How do I connectr the brake lines? Can I just buy maverick disk brake hoses? Will they be the correct sizes (bigger than the drum hose ends)? Or do I have to reflare the metal line on the car so it will fit the bigger hose?

    Thanks
    Chad

I solved some of my problems. The auto parts store had some adapters so the lines can mate.

How does the power booster mount to the fire wall? Does it need an adapter or does it go right to the fire wall?

Do I need a brake pedal assembly form a power brake maverick?

I have a booster and adapter but the rod from the power booster doesnt line up with the hole in the firewall. It also look like the rod will then be on the wrong side of the brake pedal to hook up with the stud on the brake pedal. Also the brake pedal assembly has threaded holes where the four bolts go that hold it to the fire wall. I guess I kinda answered my own question and just want confermation on the pedal assembly. With the manual master cylinder the bolts go in from the engine compartment while with a booster there are studs. I guess I could drill out the threads in the pedal assembly if I can figure out the rod thing.

Maybe I will just put a manual master cylinder back on it so I can put a toploader in it.

hey rx- first of all i was going to tell you buy maverick hoses. glad you already did. my mav is a 70. my son did the disc swap. we have manual brakes and they stop us just fine. i for one can't be bothered to even try power brakes. i kinda like the feel i get from manuals. as far as the master cyl goes, i still have my drum brake master. the disc brake master cyl works the same but has a bigger reservoir to compensate for the extra fluid disc brakes use as the pads wear.. i just keep an eye on the fluid level. i hope this helps! any other questions, feel free to post here or e-mail me at

If you are using the power brake booster off of the Monarch...it won't work. Also, you will need a Maverick power disc brake pedal.

With a power disc brake pedal is there still room for a clutch pedal?

    Thanks for the help

I ordered a new manual master cylinder for the front disk brakes.

So my new question is does anyone have a Z bar, pedals, and linkage so I can put a 4 speed toploader in it.

Has anyone ever hooked there clutch up with a cable or hydrolics? If not does anyone know where I can get an adapter for the clutch linkage where it attached to the block? I need this because I am using a roller motor with out this boss in it.
