Do new gen seats fit in our Mavericks?

I feel like I've seen pictures of 05+ mustang front and rear seats installed in these cars. Does anyone have experience or pics of this? More concerned about the back set fitting. Planning on grabbing a set this weekend if I can.

 

I doubt any seats are a direct fit, track width & length surely differ. Without fabrication, just about any rear seat is wishful thinking.

 

I'm not a fan of having headrests on the back seat and they don't look good with them removed exposing the attaching hardware. I would much rather find front seats I like and have the stock rear seat upholstered to match.

 

They definitely weren't a direct fit but I agree with the headrests as well! Found a full set for $200 so the brain started turning haha.

I like the modern, sporty look of a seat that looks like a pair of buckets in the back of a 2 door car.

Hmmmm..... never thought about measuring the seats of the wife's '07 Mustang sitting the driveway to see if they would fit the Comet. Too funny, here all this time. Nice job.

I put too much work into the seats in the Comet. Recovered them with 71-73 Mustang Coupe upholstery. A lot of work went into the rear seat frame to make that work too.
