I took my Mav up to the local garage for my annual state inspection Saturday morning, got the car done, and drove home. Not 5 minutes later the garage I was parked in was engulfed in flames. Here one of the mechs. was removing a gas tank from a mini van when the gas hot water tank lit, which in turned created a large fireball. Luckly no-one was hurt (except a mini van and a Ranger). the garage was a total loss. I glad I didn't wait till the after noon to go and get my inspection done. Just a reminder to be careful of the gas fumes. Russ

Our local radiator shop/gas tank shop no longer exists, due to the same thing. There were in buisness for 40 years and had the experence and safety rules in place, but a careless customer did them in. While they were removing a leaking gas tank, a customer wandered into the shop from the waiting area with a cigerette to see their progress. The fire ball destroyed the building and 3 people were seriously injured. The owner sold the land and now a new dress shop occupies the location.
