Is mine the only one that says 1970 Ford Maverick Grabber, but it has a hood from a Nova? No grabber scoops, no angled point about 18" back from the front of the hood. Mine has the ridges that go all the way to the front like a nova or maybe a malibu.

    I feel gyped...

Yes, I'm sure you have the only one that says 1970 Ford Maverick Grabber, but it has a hood from a Nova. Very rare.

A picture should be fun. :D

Yes mav toys with grabber hoods are hard to find.Out of all my toys maybe three have grabber hoods. With the tigerwheels the hood paint is close for 70 .Maybe you got one packed wrong.

Here is the best pic I can get...no flash, since it bounces off the cellophane and glares.

Notice, the hood does not have the angular groove in the top like a real maverick, plus, of course, no "grabber" scoops. It looks an awful lot like a nova hood.

I guess it does look like a Nova stripe. But the 1970 Grabber hoods didn't have the scoops. 71 72 only Also on the Tiger car we got jyped on the rear spoiler. They added the spoiler/end caps to the non spoiler end caps. It can be peeled off if you wanted to. It just looks bad in my opinion.

Gee, aren't we complaining? We were tickled to death when they announced they were going to create a new casting and make a Maverick just for us. Very few die-casts are perfect, but I think it's pretty good myself. :2cents:

Not trying to rag on you, but I'm sure it sounds that way. Look at it this way, we all got the same one. :D

I got them all and damn glad I did. Compared to what the Mad Maverick looks like, the Tiger Mavericks are dead on.

i guess it does a little, i always liked the stock style hood too though because it looked kinda like a reverse scoop setup. i was going to put a hood like maverick man made for his.still better than the flat boring hoods of most modern cars

    Whole set

They are on Ebay right now for around $39.00....guy that sells
diecast stuff at the fleamarket I go to said they are supposed to
be getting in the the larger scale models at some point. He gets
requests all the time. Day I asked he said 3 other guys asked the
same question. Has to be a market for them.
