As if things weren't interesting enough, I wanted to clean out my garage so I went to put everything back together in the Mav so I could move it outside to make room when I discovered low and behold the dome light don't wanna work anymore why I dunno. Its not the fuse which was the first place I looked, checked out fine with the test light, bulb didn't blow the socket isn't getting any power. So I removed the inst cluster (again) made my way to the headlight switch and removed it, tested the harness it checks out fine thought maybe the switch was faulty so I switched it with another one I have here no dome light still. It's not the Door Ajar switches cause if either of them were blown the dome light would still come on if I turned it on with the headlight switch, anyhow they weren't getting power either so somewhere between the fuse box and the light something is amiss I thought maybe with all my fiddling around I pulled something loose I checked out the wire it's fine everything is connected, just can't find that short (if there is one) I even unplugged the dome light wire from the the little plug just behind where the heater controls are, tested that plug with the test light, nothing!. I'm out of idea's and getting steamed at the whole thing anybody got a clue as to what might be up here? seems like i've tried everything.

As with all electrical items that aren't getting power, start at the dome and work your way back. I would guess a pinched wire to ground somewhere.
